- Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, interacted with participants of Toycathon-2021 through video conferencing.
- During the meeting, PM Modi highlighted the importance of toys and game industry in Indian Economy.
- Toy and Game Industry was termed as ‘Toyconomy’ by him.
Toycathon-2021
- It was a joint initiative by the Ministry of Education, Women and Child Development Ministry, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Textile Ministry, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and All India Council for Technical Education.
- It was launched on 5th January 2021.
- It aims to promote India as a global toy manufacturing hub.
