- Chandrayaan-3 was released from Earth orbit into trans-lunar orbit after a successful slingshot manoeuvre.
- It will follow a path that will take it to the vicinity of the moon.
- Chandrayaan-3 is currently in trans-lunar orbit.
- It will begin to experience the influence of lunar gravity when it reaches a distance of around 40,000 km from the Moon.
- From there, each lunar manoeuvre will reduce the apolune from 4,000 km to 5,000 km.
- Then reduced to 1,000 km before the spacecraft enters a 100 km circular orbit.
