- Two new tertiary processing centres – TRIFOOD have been launched by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs in Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh.
- It aims to increasing the value addition to the non-timber forest products collected by tribal forest gatherers.
- It will be implemented jointly by TRIFED and Ministry of Food Processing.
