A 22-year-old Sikh Coldstream Guard created history by becoming the first to wear a turban instead of a bearskin hat during an annual parade that marks the birthday of Britain's longest-reigning monarch Queen Elizabeth II.
Charanpreet Singh Lall of the Coldstream Guards marched among 1,000 British soldiers who took part in the Trooping the Colour parade.
Ceremony marks the Queen's official 92nd birthday held at London.
Trooping the Colour, staged every June by London’s Horse Guards Parade, has commemorated the birthday of the sovereign for more than 250 years.
It originated from traditional preparations for battle.
