Twin Aeronomy Mission

  • ISRO has planned a twin aeronomy mission to capture the effects of space weather events on the Earth's atmosphere.
  • It aims to capture the latitudinal and longitudinal effects of space weather events on the Earth's upper atmosphere.
  • The twin Aeronomy mission named as DISHA-H&L mission.
  • This mission will comprise two satellites.
    • One at high inclination orbit (DISHA-H)
    • Second at low inclination orbit (DISHA-L)
  • DISHA stands for 'Disturbed and Quiet time Ionosphere-Thermosphere systems at High Altitudes'.
