U.S. South Korea largest-ever joint air drill

  • South Korea and the United States have launched large-scale joint aerial drills, Vigilant Ace at Seoul in South Korea.
  • The exercise comes after North Korea tested Hwasong-15, its most advanced and powerful Inter Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM).
  • The joint exercise is designed to enhance readiness and operational capability and to ensure peace and security on the Korean peninsula.
  • The annual US-South Korean drill, called Vigilant Ace.
  • The fighters will fly to Korean Peninsula from Kadena Air Base on Okinawa, Japan.
