- The UN Micro, Small and Medium-sized businesses day is observed annually on June 27.
- The day is celebrated in recognition of the work of MSMEs in local and global economies.
- According to the data provided by the International Council for Small Business, MSME’s make up 90% of all firms and account on average for 60-70% of total employment and 50% of GDP.
- The day is observed since 2017 after a UN General assembly resolution.
