India has once again abstained from voting in a UN General Assembly resolution that condemned Russia's invasion of Ukraineon the eve of the first anniversary of Russia's invasion.
During the vote in the 193-member UNGA, 141 member nations voted in favour of the resolution.
While 7 opposed the resolution, India, China, Iran and South Africa were among the 32 countries to abstain in the vote.
The seven countries who voted against it were Russia, Belarus, North Korea, Eritrea, Mali, Nicaragua and Syria.
India’s defence trade with the US is around 21 billion USD.
But Russia is still the largest exporter of defence goods for India.
