- Sweden and the United Nations World Food Programme has signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement committing an 370 million dollars to WFP over the next four years.
- The contribution for the period 2018-2021 is the biggest ever made by a donor within a WFP Strategic Partnership Agreement.

- It was established in 1961 by Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) Conference.
- It is headquartered in Rome.
- The WEF is the food-assistance branch of the United Nations.
- It is the world’s largest humanitarian organization which addressing hunger and promoting food security worldwide.
