  • The Antarctic waters are the closest Earth analog to the seas of an icy moon.
  • It is developed by engineers at NASA-Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
  • The robotic submersible could one day explore ice-covered oceans on moons like Europa (Jupiter) and Enceladus (Saturn).
