were awarded UNESCO/Emir Jaber al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah Prize for Digital Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
- They were awarded for their outstanding contribution to empowerment of persons with disabilities through application of ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) to access information and knowledge.
- Vashkar Bhattacharjee was awarded in individual category whereas Tencent was awarded in organizational category.
- The Prize will be offered biennially in 2018/2019 and 2020/2021. The Prize will be divided equally to

- An Organization.
- It is sponsored by Kuwait in memory of its late ruler Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
