- The Indian Navy launched the fifth Scorpene submarine “Vagir” at Mazagon Dock of south Mumbai.
- Vagir has been named after Sand Fish.
- It is a part of six Kalvari class submarines.
- These submarines were designed by French Navy.
- It is being built in India under Project-75 of Indian Navy.
- The INS Vagsheer is the 6th one.
- It is still under construction.
