- Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited (BRBNMPL) has set up an Ink Manufacturing Unit named “Varnika” in Mysuru, Karnataka.
- It has an annual ink manufacturing capacity of 1,500 MT.
- It can enhance the security of banknotes.
- BRBNMPL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of RBI.
- Shaktikanta Das (Governor of RBI) has dedicated the Ink Manufacturing Unit to the nation.
- It is a boost to the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
