- Vriksharopan Abhiyan - 2021 of Coal Ministry is launched on August 19, 2021.
- It is a key event under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations in coal sector.
- It will bring environment sustainability in mining operations
- In this year, coal PSUs of the Ministry of Coal is to launch “Go Greening” drive.
- Areas will be covered under bio-reclamation or plantation.
- Go Greening drive will be provided the right boost by launching Vriksharopan Abhiyan 2021.
- This Mission will be launched by Union Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary affairs, Prahalad Joshi.
