- Chennai’s first solid waste incinerator is to be set up in Manali, followed by plants in Madhavaram and Thiruvottiyur zones.
- The waste would be burned to produce pure carbon ash that is not harmful to environment.
- It can be used to manufacture paver blocks and to make other construction material.
