- Nepal approved India's hydropower board to study and develop 1,200MW hydropower projects in western Nepal.
- The projects include 750MW West Seti Hydropower Project and 450 MW Seti River (SR-6), a joint storage project.
- West Seti project is a proposed Hydropower Project, to be built on the Seti River in far-western Nepal.
- India will be taking over this Project nearly four years after China withdrew from it.
- The West Seti project was first envisioned some six decades ago.
