- First ever WHO Global Conference on Air Pollution and Health took place in Geneva from 30 October to 1 November 2018.
- Theme of the conference: improving air quality, combatting climate change – saving lives.
- The purpose of the conference was to bring together global, national and local partners to share knowledge and mobilise action for cleaner air and better health globally.
- The conference was organized in collaboration with
- UN Environment,
- World Meteorological Organization (WMO),
- Climate and Clean Air Coalition to Reduce Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (CCAC),
- UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE),
- World Bank and
- Secretariat of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
