First ever WHO Global Conference on Air Pollution and Health took place in Geneva from 30 October to 1 November 2018.
Theme of the conference: improving air quality, combatting climate change – saving lives.
The purpose of the conference was to bring together global, national and local partners to share knowledge and mobilise action for cleaner air and better health globally.
The conference was organized in collaboration with
UN Environment,
World Meteorological Organization (WMO),
Climate and Clean Air Coalition to Reduce Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (CCAC),
UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE),
World Bank and
Secretariat of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
