- Wholesale price-based inflation (WPI) rose to a record 15.88 per cent in May.
- It marks the highest in the current series base of 2012
- It primarily due to rise in prices of mineral oils, crude petroleum & natural gas, food articles, basic metals, non-food articles, chemicals & chemical products and food products.
