- The first batch of 83 women soldiers was inducted into the Indian Army’s military police by the Corps of Military Police Centre and School (CMP C&S) at the Dronacharya Parade Ground in Bengaluru.
- This is the first time that women have been inducted in the non-officer category.
- These women soldiers will perform duties similar to what is done by the male military police personnel.
