Women to head Avadi Police Commissionerate

- To recognize the role played by women personnel on the occasion of International Women’s Day, women officers will be given charge of all police stations under the Avadi Police Commissionerate for a day.
- For the first time in India, all police stations in a Commissionerate will be headed by women officers.
- This initiative is to recognize, honor, celebrate and cherish the role of women in our uniformed services.
