- World AIDS Day 2019 is being observed on the 1st of December on the theme of “Communities make the difference.”
- Aids day is observed since 1988.
- To achieve the Sustainable Development Goal of ending AIDS as a public health threat by 2030, union government implements a National Strategic Plan from 2017 to 2024.
- National AIDS Control Programme (NACP) is also implemented across the country for prevention and control of aids.
