- In 2013, the General Assembly designated July 30 as the World Day against Trafficking in Persons.
- This day was created to raise awareness of the situation of victims of human trafficking and for the promotion and protection of their rights.
- The 2021 theme for World Day against Trafficking in Persons is “Victims’ Voices Lead the Way”.
