- The World Day of Social Justice is observed every year on February 20 to promote efforts to tackle issues such as poverty, exclusion and unemployment.
- The theme for the year 2018 is “Workers on the Move: The Quest for Social Justice”.
- On 26 November 2007, the UN General Assembly declared that, starting from the sixty-third session of the General Assembly, 20 February will be celebrated annually as the World Day of Social Justice.
