- The aim of the day is to raise awareness about different foodborne risks and the measures of how to prevent it.
- This year’s theme is “Safe food today for a healthy tomorrow”.
- WHO in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations decided to celebrate this day since 2019.
