- Finland has secured its position as the world's happiest nation for the eighth consecutive year.
- It is followed by Denmark and Iceland.
- Israel secured 8th position despite the Hamas conflict
- The United States has dropped to its lowest position at 24th, down from its peak at 11th in 2012.
- Afghanistan remains at the bottom of the rankings.
- India ranked 118th in the World Happiness Report 2025 published Thursday, up from the 126th position in the previous year
- Among India's neighbouring countries, Sri Lanka was ranked at 133, Bangladesh at 134, Pakistan at 109, Nepal at 92 and China at 68.
- It is released by the Wellbeing Research Centre at the University of Oxford, in the collaboration with Gallup, the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, and an independent editorial board.
