- World Migratory Bird Day was observed all over the world on 13th October 2018.
- In 2017, International Migratory Bird Day (IMBD) and World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD) were merged.
- From 2018, World Migratory Bird Day is celebrated twice a year, on the second Saturday in May and in October.
- In 2018, it was celebrated on 12th May and now on 13th October.
- The theme for WMBD 2018 was ‘Unifying our Voices for Bird Conservation’ and also “Year of the Bird”.
