- 20% of the value of all marine fisheries and over 8% of all seafood traded globally is comprised of tuna species.
- It contains multiple nutrients, like Omega-3, proteins, minerals, vitamin B12 and others.
- In December 2016 the United Nations General Assembly declared this the Day.
