- The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has launched the world’s smallest rocket with the ability to put a tiny satellite into orbit.
- The rocket is launched from the Uchinoura Space Centre in Kagoshima, Japan.
- It carried placed a microsatellite TRICOM-1R in orbit. TRICOM-1R is capable to capture images of the Earth’s surface.
