- Prithvi Shaw at 18 years and 329 days became the youngest Indian to score a century on Test debut.
- The record was earlier held by Abbas Ali Baig (20 years and 126 days) and Gundappa Viswanath (20 years and 276 days).
- Shaw is also the youngest to score a hundred on Duleep Trophy debut in 2017.
