- India and the US will hold an over two-week-long military exercise in Uttarakhand.
- This is the 18th edition of this exercise.
- The last edition of the exercise took place in October 2021 in Alaska in the US.
- In June 2016, the US designated India a "Major Defence Partner".
- The Logistics Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA) was signed in 2016.
- The Communications Compatibility and Security Agreement (COMCASA) was finalised in 2018.
- India and the US sealed the Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement (BECA) in 2020.
