- Every year, Zero Discrimination Day is celebrated on March 1 to end discrimination against girls and women.
- Zero Discrimination Day also promotes the necessity of equal rights, opportunities and treatments.
- The day was first celebrated on March 1, 2014, and was launched by UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibé on 27 February.
- The theme of this year’s Day is “fight against discrimination faced by women and girls”.
